You will need to create a bolt system that fires from the closed bolt, with a seperate fring pin in either a striker or hammer-fired configuration.ģ. Unless you're going 'off teh shelf' with a commercially available tube and bolt kit from teh saem designer, you're better off doing the tube yourself from an untouched steel tube.Ģ. You really need a receiver with a thicker wall than teh original tube, and you need it cut for YOUR semiauto kit. Your '80% Receiver' probably isn't going to be one for a US-legal semiauto, but rather, be an '80% receiver' for a FULL AUTO. What will I need to do to make it into a functional firearm and what parts have to comply with the US parts rules?ġ.
Unfortunately, I've never built a gun or assembled a kit so I'm not entirely sure what all I have to do. I'll be assembling it from a parts kit and 80% receiver, both available online. For those unfamiliar with it, it's a Czech 7.62x25mm submachine gun used from the 1940's to 1960's. I've decided to build a semi-auto CZ-26 SMG.
