The weak part of the game is the empire-building aspect. How much combat you do in the game depends mostly on yourself.
You really had to think about your surroundings and your gangmember's skills and weapons. It struck a nice balance between complexity and easy management. It was challenging even on Normal difficulty. The tactical combat was awesome to me, it was the best thing about Omerta. If you like the 'old-time' gangster theme then Omerta is actually quite good.įor one thing the atmosphere of the game is very nice, with the voice-acting, music and such. So don't expect the same level of depth and complexity as in Gangsters. Just as Tropico is a simplified version of the SimCity games, Omerta is a simplified version of the Gangster games. It was made by the developers who make the Tropico series. Omerta is a much 'lighter' type of game than Gangsters 2, less 'hardcore' if you wish.Įspecially if you consider the micro-management and strategic aspects.
